Then Code for Compassion is for you.

Electric Sheep held its first in-person coding event on February 26th 2025 in the heart of San Francisco/Silicon Valley and we haven’t looked back since then.

Since that time, driven and Electric Sheep’s community of coders, mentors learners and advocates, and OpenPaws’ ground-breaking code-based and no-code toolsets, we’ve come together all over the world to:

· Solve real world problems based on technical needs submitted by animal protection orgs.

· Utilise the first-ever suite of AI models specifically trained for animal advocacy: Pre-trained & fine-tuned models, along with dedicated cloud compute for each team.

· Deliver expert mentorship & post-hackathon support: Top-performing projects will receive continued support to take your work forward after the hackathon, including connections with funders.

· Create a direct pipeline from technical innovation to real-world deployment.

· Develop a unique community: ours is agrowing movement of like minded people; collaborating, building and coming together to connect with other impactful people!

The Code for Compassion Crew is on the march.
We are bringing Code for Compassion to Europe and Asia, London in June, Mumbai in July, Berlin in October and back to the US with DC in November… and more announcements to follow!

Check back - applications will officially open for Coders, UX designers and other Intermediate-to-Advanced-level tech skillsets in the run up to Code for Compassion events.
