Electric Sheep’s Futurekind AI Winter 25/26 Fellowship. Applications now open!
Electric Sheep’s Futurekind AI Fellowship is a pioneering 12-week learning, building & professional development journey.
It takes you from AI-curious, to AI-for-Good ‘power-user.’ It immerses you in the rapidly developing intersection of AI & animal protection, arming you with knowledge, skills, project mentorship and certifications to accelerate your impact and boost your career.
We’ve learned a lot from our ultra-successful first run in Summer 2025, which yielded 117 fellows and 35 teams working on some amazing projects and building life-long connections to develop their impact. Here’s a selection of what they produced.
Building on that foundation, we’re excited to open applications for the bigger, more focussed, and more ambitious Winter 2025/26 Futurekind Fellowship.
Session format
Weekly facilitated discussions (1.5–2 hours)
Readings & pre-session exercises (2–3 hours per week)
Optional workshops, webinars, and Q&As with senior researchers and practitioners
No technical knowledge is needed to participate. If you’re unsure about your fit, we encourage you to apply anyway! We welcome participants from a variety of backgrounds.

As part of Futurekind you'll experience:
🎓 The Immersion Block (weeks 1-5):
Survey current & emerging AI applications with significant implications for animals, ecosystems and planet, such as decoding animal communication
Gain access to powerful AI tools for animal and environmental impact advocacy
Explore impactful career pathways at the AI/animals frontier
