We’re excited to announce the next edition of Code for Compassion – a collaborative hackathon bringing together technologists and animal advocates to build real-world tools for animal protection.

What is Code for Compassion?

Created by Electric Sheep and Open Paws, Code for Compassion is a hackathon series focused on building technical infrastructure for animal advocacy. Participants collaborate to create automations, AI prototypes, and no-code tools that support the work of animal protection and food system innovation organizations.

Access the first-ever suite of pre-trained and fine-tuned AI models specifically designed for animal advocacy, with dedicated cloud compute resources for each team.

Throughout the day, participants will receive mentorship from experienced engineers, AI researchers, and advocacy strategists. Top-performing projects will receive continued support after the event, including introductions to funders and partner organizations.
