It often starts with a simple question: How can we move from environmental anxiety to precise, strategic action? 

For the fellows in the AI for Climate Action Lab, co-created by Electric Sheep and Friends of the Earth, this question evolved into a (number of week)-week journey of turning ideas into tools, research, and experiments grounded in the intention to support better ecological outcomes. 

Below are the project submissions for AI for Climate Action Lab, categorized by their focus and methodology:

AI BUILDS

• Impact Intelligence (Nitin Sevak) Prototype  

An evidence-first policy analysis and climate intelligence platform that turns climate intervention concepts into scientific consensus reviews and executive-ready ESG reports.

• Hull and East Yorkshire Environmental Communications Tracker (Elizabeth Alister Heywood) App

A tool designed to help local advocacy groups sample public conversations to identify recurring environmental themes, concerns, and information gaps.

• Skill for Good (June) App

 A minimal, open-source matching tool that connects volunteers to high-impact campaign roles based on self-reported skills without requiring an account or signup. Designed as a customizable template for advocacy organizations to easily rebrand and deploy, the tool also allows users to suggest missing skills.

TOOLKITS, EDUCATION & ADVOCACY SUPPORT

• EcoMember Database (Karl Wallendszus) App 

A GDPR-compliant membership management system that allows local campaign groups to securely organize contacts, payments, and reporting.

• Explainer for the Circular Economy (Melanie Lund) App 

An interactive educational tool designed to help people understand the basics of the circular economy based on the "Doughnut Economy" model.
